There are things we carry for years \u2014 quietly, almost without realizing it. A thought, a wish, a letter never written, a dream half-buried under daily life. We tell ourselves there\u2019s still time. That we\u2019ll return to it someday<\/strong>, when the schedule clears, when the children grow up, when the noise settles, when we finally feel ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

But time doesn\u2019t knock<\/strong> before leaving, and readiness is often a story we use to delay what matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We go through life attending to what feels urgent, not always what feels important. And in the process, we leave behind small unfinished truths \u2014 things we meant to say, meant to do, meant to complete. Sometimes, they whisper back to us. Not loudly, not with guilt, but with a soft presence that never quite disappears. It might be an idea we once loved, a person we never called, a feeling we never put into words, a seed we never planted, a promise we made to ourselves, quietly, and then forgot. But even forgotten things have memory. They wait in the quiet folds of time, hoping we\u2019ll one day return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The older I grow, the more I realize that peace comes not only from achieving new things, but from finishing the ones<\/strong> that waited for us. Not from applause, but from alignment \u2014 when the inner and outer lives finally match. We don\u2019t always need more accomplishments. Sometimes, we just need fewer loose ends. You don\u2019t have to complete everything. You don\u2019t have to be perfect<\/strong>. But it helps to ask gently \u2014 is there something I once started, or deeply felt, that still belongs to me?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If yes, then perhaps today is the day to return to it. Make the call. Write the words. Begin again. Not for anyone else. Not for praise. Just to be in quiet agreement with your own soul. Because there is something deeply grounding in tending to the things that have patiently waited within us. Whatever it is you\u2019re still carrying \u2014 it matters, deeply and quietly. And there is always a right time to honour it\u2026 before it is late<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
