However I can give you few simple tips to make a good presentation.<\/p>\n
1. Keep minimum content in one slide.<\/p>\n
2. If organizers have got any templates please design your slide using the same background.<\/p>\n
3. Font size should be minimum 20+, 26 is preferred.<\/p>\n
Fonts-Good
\nUse at least 20-point font
\nUse different size fonts for main points and secondary points this font is 24-point, the main point font is 28-point, and the title font is 36-point
\nUse a standard font like Times New Roman or Arial \u2013 if the presentation computer doesn\u2019t have certain font types it will give a problem.<\/p>\n
Fonts-Bad
\nIf you use a small font, your audience won\u2019t be able to read what you have written
\nCAPITALIZE ONLY WHEN NECESSARY. IT IS DIFFICULT TO READ
\nDon\u2019t use a complicated font<\/p>\n
4. Normally 1 message should be given in 1 slide or it should be progressive as you keep on talking the next point will keep on opening on a click.<\/p>\n
Will help audience concentrate on what you are saying
\nWill prevent audience from reading ahead
\nWill help you keep your presentation focused<\/p>\n
5. The color should be pastel which is international standard, do not use too many colors or bright colors in slides.<\/p>\n
Colour \u2013Good
\n\u2022 Use a color of font that contrasts sharply with the background
\n\u2022 Ex: blue font on white background
\n\u2022 Use color to reinforce the logic of your structure
\n\u2022 Ex: light blue title and dark blue text
\n\u2022 Use color to emphasize a point
\n\u2022 But only use this occasionally<\/p>\n
Colour \u2013Bad
\n\u2022 Using a font color that does not contrast with the background color is hard to read
\n\u2022 Using colour for decoration is distracting and annoying.
\n\u2022 Using a different colour for each point is unnecessary
\n\u2022 Using a different colour for secondary points is also unnecessary
\n\u2022 Trying to be over creative can be bad<\/p>\n
6. Background-Good
\n\u2022 Use backgrounds such as this one that are attractive but simple
\n\u2022 Use backgrounds which are light
\n\u2022 Use the same background consistently throughout your presentation
\nBackground-Bad
\n\u2022 Avoid backgrounds that are distracting or difficult to read from
\n\u2022 Always be consistent with the background that you use<\/p>\n
7. Graphs – Good
\n\u2022 Use graphs rather than just charts and words
\n\u2022 Data in graphs is easier to comprehend & retain than is raw data
\n\u2022 Trends are easier to visualize in graph form
\n\u2022 Always title your graphs
\nGraph- Bad
\n\u2022 Minor gridlines are unnecessary
\n\u2022 Font is too small
\n\u2022 Colours are illogical
\n\u2022 Title is missing
\n\u2022 Shading is distracting<\/p>\n
8. Spelling and Grammar:
\nProof your slides for:
\nSpelling mistakes
\nThe use of of repeated words
\nGrammatical errors you might have make
\nIf English is not your first language, please have someone else check your presentation<\/p>\n
9. The reports should be scanned and put inside and the main points have to be highlighted. The scanning has to be done in high resolution to have clarity.<\/p>\n
10. Use the illustrations and photographs which are relevant to the case.<\/p>\n
11. Audios, videos and photographs have to be embedded in the slide otherwise it will not be visible and when you run the slide show it will not be possible to see in the presentation.<\/p>\n
12. Always use the same machine and load it completely, test it before you start your presentation.<\/p>\n
13. Outlines : Make your 1st or 2nd slide an outline of your presentation

\nFollow the order of your outline for the rest of the presentation
\nOnly place main points on the outline slide
\nEx: Use the titles of each slide as main points<\/p>\n

\nUse 1-2 slides per minute of your presentation

\nAvoid wordiness: use key words and phrases only<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Use a conclusion slide to: Summarize the main points of your presentation & Suggest future avenues of research \/ work
\n\u2022 Put you contact details, email id & website if any so that those who are interested can contact you.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 End your presentation with a simple question slide to:
\n\u2022 Invite your audience to ask questions
\n\u2022 Provide a visual aid during question period
\n\u2022 Avoid ending a presentation abruptly
\n\u2022 The most important point is do not include unnecessary slides and do not jump the slides while giving your presentations. Please keep at least 1 minute per slide, by doing this you will be able to give justice to your presentation.
